Description: A central issue in finance is whether stock prices move because of revision in expected cash flows or discount rates. This intensive course deals with the crucial question of what drives stock price movements. We will go over the standard approach based on return predictability, the related econometric and measurement issues. We will also review the main empirical findings in the last 30 years. This courses does not require advance training on asset pricing. Basic knowledge of present value calculation should suffice.
