GSF was established in January 2005, and it offers a well structured program for obtaining a Ph.D. degree in Finance. GSF builds on the program of finance of the Graduate School of Finance and Financial Accounting that operated from 1994 - 2004. GSF operates within the KATAJA, which co-ordinates nationally doctoral level education in business studies in Finland.
The organization of GSF comprises of a supervisory board and a director. The daily activities of the GSF are run by the director with the help of the part-time secretary.
There are five universities in Finland where one can obtain a doctoral degree in finance. All these universities are the members of the GSF. In below you'll find the links to the participating finance departments.
At the moment GSF has seven graduate school fellowships (financed by the Ministry of Education) for successful doctoral students of the GSF to pursue their doctoral studies full time. A doctoral student can have a fellowship for a maximum of 4 years.
